White teas are a rare classification of tea that is produced on a very limited scale. They have a very fresh, delicate and sought after flavour. For centuries, white teas have been appreciated by tea connoisseurs for their unmatched subtlety, complexity and natural sweetness. They are called white teas because the tea leaves have a white or silver appearance. The leaves are light and fluffy due to the fact that they are simply steamed, then dried, and are not significantly altered through rolling.

white tipped darjeeling
tea of infinity
flavour profile: an incredibly sweet & delicate cup of tea
that retains a light, muscatel Darjeeling flavour
ingredients: Indian white tea grown at 6000 feet (Darjeeling’s highest elevation)
NEW! Our White Tipped Darjeeling is now an unrolled, lightly steamed "open leaf" tea. Due to this different method of manufacture, the leaf is no longer covered in a downy, white fuzz, and the white tips are visible on the edges of the leaf. The flavour profile is very similar to that of the old tea, as it is produced on the same estate, using the same tea leaves as before. Since the open leaf method is slightly less lavour intensive, this tea is now available at a new, lower price!
